Perhaps, this is the oldest dog on Earth. Age breed evaluate different ways - from 3 to 6 thousand years. It was formed as a breed of national selection for more than four thousand years in the vast territory stretching from the Caspian Sea today to China and from South Ural to Afghanistan. In this breed the blood of the ancient dogs of Tibet, the shepherds' dogs of various nomadic tribes and fighting dogs in Mesopotamia, it is closely related to the Mongolian sheep-dog and the Tibetan Mastiff.

Many centuries, dogs of this breed lives in conditions of severe natural selection. Poor conditions of existence in the hot desert climates, bread and cheese, a limited amount of water, a constant struggle against predators made her strong, fearless, taught sparingly force. Fights with predators honed combat skills.
